Elon Musk appears with 4-year-old son at Donald Trump’s rally in New York

In New York, amongst the packed crowd at Madison Square Garden gathered on Sunday to listen to former president Donald Trump, Elon Musk made yet another supportive appearance.
The tech-billionaire could be seen clad in a black MAGA hat, cradling his 4-year-old son, X Æ A-Xii. Musk has been actively involved in campaigning for Trump this election cycle, campaigning for the Republicans on multiple occasions, including in Butler, Pennsylvania, when Trump revisited to address the crowd for the second time after surviving an assassination attempt in July.
“As you can see, I’m not just MAGA, I’m dark gothic MAGA,” Musk proclaimed at the rally. “We’re gonna get the government off your back and out of your pocket book. The future is going to be amazing.”
“This is a real battle, this is a real election battle. So you need to get your friends and family to vote. Make sure they vote early, this is important,” Musk added. “Make the margin of victory so big, that ‘you know what’ can’t happen.”
The tech-billionaire was referring to the 2020 election which Trump maintains was rigged against him. In New York, Musk introduced Former First Lady, Melania Trump, for a rare appearance on the campaign trail.
Musk, the world’s richest man, has also donated more than $70 million to Trump’s campaign during this election cycle. Furthermore, he has prodded supporters at every chance to vote early. Musk has even raised concerns about the voting process, echoing concerns highlighted by Trump throughout the cycle. During his brief public appearance in Pennsylvania, Musk had noted that in the future, mail-in ballots should not be accepted as legitimate votes, labelling them an anomaly that only got popularised because of the COVID-19 pandemic and should be discontinued due to the prospect of fraud it entails.
During the town hall event, the billionaire also downplayed the insurrection that occurred on January 6, 2021, adding that Trump supporters involved in breaking into the Capitol building were not insurrectionists, adding that people who say, “Trump is a threat to democracy are themselves a threat to democracy.”
Musk further noted that the former president “did actually tell people to not be violent.”
While Trump told the crowd on January 6 to protest “peacefully and patriotically,” he did instruct them to “fight like hell” in order to stop Democrat Joe Biden from taking the president’s seat.
Musk has himself been in the news in recent days for offering $1 million to registered voters in swing states who sign his petition to support first and Second Amendment rights. His actions, as reported, prompted the Justice Department to issue a warning to the billionaire as he may be violating federal election laws, as federal law prohibits paying people to register to vote.
Earlier this week, the Wall Street Journal also reported that Musk has been in contact with Russian President Vladimir Putin since 2022. Reports also noted that Putin, at one point, asked Musk to stop activating his Star Link satellite internet network over Taiwan, as a favour to China.
